Optional Competition Information


​Scores from optional competitions have no bearing on the division winner. Contestants are not required to enter the optional competitions

​Optional Competition Fees are due by June 1, 2024

Talent Competition (optional $25.00 fee)
The Talent Competition is an optional competition and does not affect the overall outcome of the pageant. You will need to have your Talent Entry form & Entry Fee to the Office by June 15, 2016. We need this information ahead of time because these names have to be added to the computer score sheet. Talent must not be longer than 2 minutes.
You will email your music to our DJ.

The winner of the Talent Competition will receive a trophy/plaque

Photogenic Competition (optional $25.00 fee)
Contestants in this competition should submit no more than 2 photographs. You should bring them with you and turn in at registration. Please be sure you pick them up before the pageant. Photos will not be mailed. Photographs should be at least a 4 X 6 and no larger than an 8 X 10 and may be either in color or black and white. Photos should be professional not a snapshot. Photos CANNOT be older than three years.

The winner of the Photogenic Competition will receive a trophy/plaque

Community Service Scrapbook (optional $25.00 fee)
You should bring your scrapbook with you. Please be sure to pick this up after the pageant. Your scrapbook should show what you have done with and without your crown and banner and should be arranged by the most recent activities first.

The winner of the Community Service Competition will receive a trophy/plaque.

People’s Choice

The People’s Choice Award will be awarded to that ONE contestant who obtains the most online votes ($1.00 per vote), above and beyond 200 votes.  There is no optional fee for this award.
She will also receive the Wild Card vote and will compete in the finals night pageant.
​​ The People’s Choice winner will receive a crown, banner, and trophy or plaque.

Cover Girl Award ($25)
Interested contestants will submit up to 2 photos to be judged by a panel of photographers.  The winners will have their photo placed on the program book. covers

The winner of the Cover Girl Competition will receive a trophy/plaque.

Photo should be submitted by email on or before June 15th.

 

Spirit of Pageantry Award

The Spirit of Pageantry Award is based on good sports

Rip The Runway $25)

Contestants will model an outfit of their choice. This outfit should not be their Fun Fashion outfit. 

​

​

Country Costume ($25.00)

Contestant will model a costume that reflects her State or Heritage. Costumes are judged on creativity and originality.

​

 

Spokes Model ($25.00 fee)

Contestants will prepare a 2-minute speech about their platform or the national platform which is breast cancer awareness.

 

U.S. United Scholar (no fee)

Contestants will submit an official transcript and write a short essay on why she feels she deserves this award.

 

Portfolio ($25.00 fee)

Contestants will submit a modeling portfolio containing 5-10 photos of various poses. Portfolios should include headshots, ¾ length and full body shots.
